2020: How To Get Outdoors More This Year

Is there a small voice inside your head telling you 'you should go outside more'? Or maybe you've noticed how good you feel after a day of fun in the sun? Whatever the reason, we are here to help you make the most of 2020 by embracing the great outdoors. No, this doesn't mean we are going to send you on a 3 day hike. There are plenty of ways to get out and about that don't necessarily involve an overnight stay or steep mountain climb.

From snoozing in the sunshine to kicking around a footy, stepping out for a little fresh air has never been easier.

Sports

If there's one thing that combines fun, exercise and the outdoors, its a good ol' game of football with friends or family. Why not take a gazebo, grab a few lightweight camp chairs such as one from our DuraLite range and pack a small cooler with cold drinks and a few snacks and really set up for the afternoon. If footy isn't your thing, go for a sport you know you get everyone involved.

Day Trips

A 'day trip' can be anything from a full day at the beach to a hike in the mountains or even an extended picnic/barbeque in the park. For those looking to take to the beach, you will want to ensure you have enough sun protection. A simple beach shade will provide you with a cool spot to escape the harsh suns rays, allowing you to stay out and about longer.

Hosting a barbeque or picnic with friends and family is a great way to, not only socialise, but also enjoy the sunshine. You'll need the essentials like a picnic rug or picnic table, a cooler, shelter and plenty of tasty snacks. Follow up lunch with a nice walk around the park!

Backyard

You don't have to stray far from home to appreciate the outdoors. Lazing in lounge chairs around the pool or snoozing under a tree in a hammock are perfect ways to get out of the house, even if it is only for an hour. For the kids, why not set up an arts and crafts station outside on an fold up table like the Recreation Set. This will provide hours on entertainment and the best part? No mess inside! Simply give the table a quick hose down out the back when they are finished.

Weekend Escape

If you are hoping to venture out a little further than the backyard, why not plan an overnight stay at a local, fully powered campsite. This will allow you to ease into camp life as well as give you a chance to learn how to handle and properly assemble your gear.
