Camping Beds & Bedding

Foam camping mattresses are solid foam throughout, require no inflation, are extremely durable, and provide consistent support. Our Foam Camp Mat 50mm and Foam Swag Mats (70mm in 900 and 1400 sizes) are ideal for stretchers and swags. Air mattresses like our Air Bed range (King Single, Double, and Queen in 23cm height) need to be inflated but pack down smaller and offer adjustable firmness. The DuoComfort Queen options provide built-in pumps for convenience. Foam is more puncture-proof, while air mattresses offer more cushioning.

Choose a sleeping bag with a temperature rating at least 5-10°C lower than the coldest temperature you expect. For example, if you're camping in 5°C conditions, select a 0°C or -3°C bag. Our range includes options from +15°C for summer camping down to -10°C for winter adventures. The Kingsford range offers excellent value for 3-season camping, while the Drover series provides serious insulation for cooler conditions. Junior Kingsford bags are available for kids in 0°C and -3°C ratings.

Our Easy Fold Stretcher range includes Low Rise Single (compact storage), Single (standard height), Single Jumbo (extra length/width for taller campers or more room), and Queen (double width for couples). Standard single stretchers suit most adults up to 6 feet tall, while the jumbo option accommodates taller campers. Consider your vehicle space, tent size, and whether you'll use a sleeping bag or blankets when choosing. For camping comfort, thicker is generally better. Our 50mm Foam Camp Mat provides good support for occasional campers or side sleepers on stretchers. The 70mm Foam Swag Mats (available in 900mm and 1400mm widths) offer superior cushioning for swags or ground camping, better insulating you from cold ground. For minimal camping or kids, the 10mm Earth Mat Camper Deluxe works well. Consider how you sleep - side sleepers benefit from thicker mats, while back sleepers can use thinner options.

For Australian family camping, choose based on season and location. The Kingsford 0°C to +5°C range offers excellent versatility for most conditions across spring, summer, and autumn. The Kingsford Double Sleeping Bag +5°C is perfect for couples. For kids, the Junior Kingsford bags (0°C and -3°C) are sized appropriately. For warmer coastal camping, the Kennedy or Sturt hooded bags (+10°C to +15°C) provide comfort without overheating. For winter camping, consider the Jindabyne -6°C or Drover -7°C to -10°C options.

Sleeping bag liners can add 5-10°C of warmth, keep your sleeping bag clean (reducing washing frequency), provide a hygienic barrier, and can be used alone in hot weather. Our Cotton liners offer breathability and comfort, Fleece liners add maximum warmth for cold nights, and Silktex liners provide lightweight warmth with a luxury feel. Liners are especially valuable for extending your sleeping bag's temperature range and significantly extending its lifespan by protecting it from body oils and dirt.

Camp stretchers like our Easy Fold Stretcher range are elevated sleeping platforms with fabric stretched over a folding frame, keeping you off the ground and providing ventilation underneath. They're lightweight and fold flat for transport. Camp beds like the Rhino Bed and Anywhere Queen Deluxe Bed are more robust systems with better support structures or integrated frames, offering closer-to-home comfort. The Deluxe Double Bunk Bed provides two sleeping levels. Stretchers are ideal for minimalist camping and easy setup, while camp beds prioritize comfort for longer stays.
