Description
Built for travellers who measure a trip by the places reached rather than the kilometres travelled, the Canning 1300 Rooftop Tent creates a premium elevated basecamp for touring, weekend escapes and remote adventures. Its rugged, slimline hard-shell design combines a powder-coated aluminium top with an strong honeycomb base, delivering a clean aerodynamic profile built for regular life on the road. Fitted roof bars add practical external storage for compatible recovery gear, solar panels and other lightweight touring equipment, with a rated load capacity of 30kg while the tent is closed.
At camp, premium German-engineered gas struts make setup and pack-down fast and straightforward. The defining four-point X-frame system raises the roof across the foot area, creating increased internal height, usable space and cross-flow ventilation while keeping the tent's footprint compact on the vehicle. With up to 127cm of internal head height, the Canning 1300 feels open and comfortable without the bulk of a fold-out design. Heavy-duty, seam-sealed 280gsm ripstop polycotton canvas provides a robust shelter, while a 210D seam-sealed ripstop Polyoxford fly protects the entry. No-See-Um mesh supports airflow through the tent while helping keep insects outside.
Inside, a 50mm memory foam mattress with a removable luxe flannel cover creates a supportive sleep surface for two. An anti-condensation mat promotes airflow beneath the mattress to help reduce trapped moisture, while OZtrail Lumos technology provides flexible internal LED lighting after dark. The six-panel Flexi storage system keeps clothing and smaller essentials organised, off the mattress and within easy reach.
A 2.3m adjustable ladder supports access on larger vehicles and trailers, and the included mounting brackets and hardware are designed to suit most compatible roof rack systems. Vehicle and roof rack suitability must be confirmed before purchase. Always verify the vehicle's dynamic roof-load rating, the roof rack's rated capacity and all installed-load requirements with the relevant manufacturers. Professional installation by a qualified 4WD or roof rack specialist is recommended.

Never exceed the vehicle, roof rack, mounting system, roof bar or ladder load ratings.
The fitted roof bars are rated to 30kg only when the tent is closed. Remove or reposition cargo before opening the tent where required.
Check all mounting hardware before every trip and re-torque it at the intervals stated in the installation manual.
Ensure the hard shell, latches, roof-bar cargo, openings, ladder and accessories are fully secured before driving.

Set the ladder at the correct angle on firm, level ground and do not exceed its 151kg rated capacity.
Fully dry the canvas, fly, mattress, anti-condensation mat and accessories before closing for extended storage.

What are shipping costs?
Shipping is calculated at check out. Shipping costs vary by delivery location and the size of your order. If you are unable to obtain a shipping cost via our website, please contact our customer service team.
Note, we may run “free shipping” promotions periodically these may not be valid for all transactions on the website due to shipping requirements of the good (eg. Locations, size, weight, etc). This will be highlighted in the terms of the specific period. Roof top tents unfortunately won't be included in any 'free shipping' promotion due to the weight.
When will my order be dispatched?
All orders will be processed and shipped within 2 - 3 business days during business hours (Monday – Friday, 9 am – 5 pm)
*Please note that during busy sales periods, there may be delays due to higher order volumes.
